Due to its crumbling rocks and the exposed spots, the Croda Rossa d'Ampezzo is regarded as the most difficult three thousand metres mountain of the Dolomites.

Croda del Becco (Seekofel in German) is a 2,810 m peak in the Croda Rossa d'Ampezzo group, between the Ampezzo Dolomites Natural Park and the Braies Dolomites. From Rifugio Biella begins the ascent of the south-eastern ridge of Croda del Becco, on a clearly visible zigzag track. This section of the itinerary, in which the slope increases.

Discover this 20.2-mile loop trail near Cortina d'Ampezzo, Veneto. Generally considered a challenging route. This trail is great for backpacking, birding, and hiking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are June through September. The town of Cortina d'Ampezzo is encircled by the craggy peaks of the Sorapiss, Cristallo, Tofane, and Croda da Lago mountain groups. The Sesto/Sexten and Baies/Prags Dolomites are also a short drive (or bus ride) away. Hiking around Cortina d'Ampezzo is like hiking in a massive open-air museum.
